With a few exceptions, we observe the Fayette County Schools holiday calendar so parents can more easily plan for family vacations.
For the Music and Movement classes, (Free Babies, Sweet Peas and Periwinkles)ages birth - 4, each semester comes with it's own set of take home materials. Materials fee is non-refundable and is due at registration. The materials are yours to keep. You may choose to either pay tuition in full or pay in 10 equal monthly installments, August through May. Payments will be auto-deducted from your account.
Private lessons will be also paid by auto withdrawal, with materials being paid separately as needed.
As you scroll down this page, you will find Payment Options, Tuition and Materials Fees, and FAQs.
1) You may pay up-front for the full year of classes. This is offered at a slightly discounted rate, and is great for people who want to just pay one time and forget about it. Your credit card information is saved for future reference if needed.
2) We prefer automatic withdrawal and will debit your account on the first day of each month. This is a great option for those who want to spread the payments out for budgetary reasons. Registering online will debit your account for the first installment or registration fee. Your registration and materials fee is non-refundable, and the materials are yours to keep.
Materials are mandatory for each class. Free Babies, Sweet Peas and Periwinkles purchase from The Music Garden, while all other class types are purchased from an outside source. You will receive specific instructions by email shortly after you register online.
***When registering more than one child per family, you must register them separately if registering for different class types (i.e. Music and Movement, piano classes, etc.) You should register by birth order, oldest to youngest, then apply the discount coupons to the younger siblings. Simply type in the coupon code as "Child 2". This can be a little confusing, so if a coupon is applied that does not coincide with your order, we will adjust your payments as needed.***
*If you prefer to pay for several months at a time, or by semester, please notify our bookkeeper at firstname.lastname@example.org and she will be happy to assist you.
Recital Fees: These fees are deducted either in November or December (private students only) and April or May (Private, Poppies, and Let's Play Music students).

Frequently Asked Questions
Do you offer a sibling discount? We here at The Music Garden are all about families, so we do offer a sibling discount. The oldest child will be charged the full tuition. Subsequent children will receive a 10% discount.
What about snow/weather days? We typically follow the Fayette County weather closures. Please check Facebook posts and your emails/texts for updates.Although there are no guarantees, we do our best to schedule make-up classes if the studio is closed for weather. You may also come to a different class any day of the week that it is offered. For our piano students, we will do our best to make up excessive snow days, but this is not guaranteed.
Why can't I pay by check month-to-month anymore? We are trying to make it easier on you and on our bookkeeper. We found ourselves emailing some people up to 5 and 6 times to get the payment, and then printing and mailing invoices several times. This will save us time and money, as well as make it easier on you to not have to remember to pay tuition each month. We know that you have every intention of paying, and we all forget sometimes. We believe this will make it easier on all parties concerned. If you still choose to pay by check, you may send in post dated checks for the year. Email our bookkeeper and let her know of your intentions, and she will help you with details. If you choose to withdraw, we promise to destroy them. We do ask for 30 days written withdrawal notice.
Is my account information safe? Absolutely! We promise to respect your privacy. We do not sell, rent, loan or transfer any personal information regarding our customers or their students to any third parties. Any information you provide about yourself or your students is held with the utmost care and security and will not be used in ways to which you have not consented.
Information gathered on our website is collected and used by us and Simply Signup. We will not collect any personal information about adults or students except when specifically and knowingly provided by them. If we collect any personally identifiable information about students, we will first obtain their parents' consent. Examples of personally identifiable information include full name and birth date.
Do you offer refunds? Sorry, we do not offer refunds once you have paid. We offer a free demo class for our Music and Movement classes to try out the class before registering. You are also welcome to switch classes at anytime if there is space available on a different day/time. We ask for a semester commitment in our Music and Movement classes, and a full year commitment in our piano classes. When registering for our piano classes, it is under the assumption that you realize you are committing to a 3 year program. Of course, we understand that family situations change, and we will work with you in a case by case basis. In special circumstances, we will give you credit to be used for future classes. We do ask for a 30 days written withdrawal notice.
Why must I give you a 30-day notice if I want to withdraw from class? We are a small business that many times operate on a shoe-string budget. It is very helpful, therefore, for our budgeting purposes, to know what monies we have coming in for the following month to pay our bills. So, as a courtesy, we ask to be given a "heads-up" when you know you must withdraw from class. Of course, you are welcome to keep attending the classes for which you have paid! We thank you in advance for your understanding and cooperation.
