Luanne Harms has had a life full of music within her family, church, and school, Luanne majored in voice and piano and received her Bachelor Degree in Music Education from Wichita State University in 1987. She has been a music teacher in both public and private schools ranging in ages from preschool to high school, and has served as high school choir director. James Arthur Ferguson - Guitar, Ukulele, Percussion, Voice
James Ferguson is a multi-instrumentalist who specializes in acoustic guitar, electric guitar, bass guitar, ukulele, and percussion. He has over seven years of live music/studio experience and has played festivals such as the CMA festival, Southern Ground Food and Music Festival, and the Senoia Social. He has opened for acts like Zac Brown Band, Moon Taxi, Atlanta Rhythm Section, and is currently working with the up and coming jam band Cougar Love.
Jessica Davis - Babies, Toddlers, Preschool, First Year Intro to Piano
Jessica Davis began playing the piano at age five and the flute at age eleven. She received her Bachelor of Music in Flute Performance from Clayton State University in 2002. Jessica's love of early childhood music education began when she studied the Music Learning Theory with Dr. Edwin Gordon at the University of South Carolina. She started her music education career in 2000 as a certified Kindermusik instructor. She has been a sought after piano and flute teacher in Henry County for more than 20 years and serves as music director for the Henry County Arts Alliance Summer Arts Camp. Jessica is also very active with local theaters as both an actor and a music director. She lives in McDonough with her husband, Lee, and her four legged child, Champ. She is thrilled to be joining The Music Garden and looks forward to sharing her love for music.
Fernando Ramos - Private Piano
Fernando Ramos began formal training in piano at the age of 15. By his Senior year in high school, he won first place at the Josephine Evans Piano Competition and second place at the Music Teachers National Association (MTNA) State Competition. He also accompanied the McIntosh High School Choir, played in local restaurants, and was already teaching a handful of students before graduating high school. Fernando continued his education as a recipient of the Spivey Hall Full Scholarship award. He studied Piano Performance, Piano Pedagogy, and Music Composition at Clayton State. For two consecutive years, he won the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra Master Class Composition Competition and had his works performed by some of the country’s best orchestral performers. As a teacher, Fernando offers 22 years of professional experience to his students. He has taught and accompanied at Riverdale High School and Saint John the Evangelist Catholic School. Fernando is also an active member of MTNA and CFMTA (Coweta/Fayette Music Teachers Association). He attends state conferences and continues his education through MTNA programs, often collaborating with other teachers on the latest teaching styles and techniques. His lesson curriculum is individually based and grounded in Classical Music. Students will attain advanced skills in Technique, Theory, Sight-Reading, EarTraining, and Musicianship.
Brian Coski - Group Ukulele
Brian Coski is excited to join the teaching staff at the Music Garden! He has received degrees from Liberty University (B.M.) and Georgia State University (M.Mus.Ed.).Hehas also been privileged to work as an educator, choral director, and technical directorin the Atlanta area arts and education community. Brian currently servesLegacy Christian Church in Senoia as their Music and Technical Director and as an Adjunct Professor of Music Appreciation at Georgia Military College. He and his family enjoy movies, gardening, hiking, and of course, playing the ukulele!
Jack Gordy - Guitar, Ukulele
Jack Gordy is a multi-instrumentalist who studied business and music theory at West Georgia Tech and the university of West Georgia. He specializes in stringed instruments and has had experience with percussion, brass, electronic, and wind as well. He has over three years of studio experience where he has learned to record/produce music for artists and has played live performances at venues in the surrounding Atlanta area as well as other states and cities. He's performed as a guitarists for many musical projects over the years and has not only taught instrumental work but also, he shows others how to record and produce the music they create.
