You have been taking piano lessons for awhile. You really enjoy playing other people's compositions. But, have you ever thought about how cool it would be to actually compose your own piece? Come be inspired by great repertoire written by master composers. Learn how to analyze pieces you are studying and currently playing.
Each day includes time to work in your "Essentials of a Great Composition" workbook, listening to and studying pieces by great classical composers as well as modern pedagogical composers, short composition activities, improvisation, making an instrument, and a hour of free composition time.
On the last day of camp, we will have a "Composition Showcase" where parents and siblings are invited for a "gallery time" to view your compositions and a recital time to hear selected compositions.
