COVID addition: Please do not come to the studio or bring a child that has any symptoms of COVID-19. We ask that you follow all guidelines and policies of our Safe Studio; wash/sanitize hands, social distance, wear a facemask at all times, etc.
If we need to discontinue in-person classes and we need to go virtual due to COVID, please understand that there will be no refunds, discounts or credits given. A virtual option is or will be made available for all classes. If you choose to not join the classes virtually, you may drop the class by giving us a 30-day notice.
ILLNESS OR INCLEMENT WEATHER:
We strive to keep our studio as germ-free as possible by washing or sanitizing hands as we enter and exit, and cleaning instruments after each use. We ask as a courtesy to our other families and to teacher to not come to class with a child who is ill, or if you, the caregiver is ill. Please be free of fever or vomiting for 24 hours before coming to class.
If at all possible, it is appreciated if you are able to let the teacher know when you are going to miss a class; however please understand that there will be no refunds. You may choose to attend the same class if it is offered on another day. Please notify the teacher when you will be coming for a make-up class. Missed classes may not be "rolled over" into the next semester.
In the event class must be cancelled due to inclement weather, or to the teacher being ill, you may choose to visit another class if it is offered on another day at any time during the semester. If there is no other class available, every effort will be made to reschedule the class at the discretion of the teacher, although this cannot be guaranteed.
If your child is under any medication or has a food allergy/sensitivity of which you are aware, or if there is any other special situation relating to your child, please let us know by informing us in writing so we can strive to keep your child safe.
Refunds are given only in the rare case of a "teacher-requested withdrawal". In this case, the teacher feels your child is not yet ready to take a class, a certain level class is not a good fit, or other issues prevent the class from being appropriate for your child at that particular time.
If for any reason a class is canceled by the studio, a full refund will be given.
Prior to class commencement (i.e. before first day of term), The Music Garden will refund any payment made if a family decides to cancel their enrollment in the class. Students who withdraw within 14 days from the beginning of the semester are entitled to a full refund of remaining tuition only. The material fee will not be refunded, and the materials are yours to keep. There are no refunds after 14 days from the first day of class.
We understand that there are circumstances beyond your control that make it necessary for you to withdraw from class. Because we budget our expenses from what we expect to receive from our tuition payments, we kindly request a 30-day written notice if you find it necessary to do so. You may, of course, keep coming to the class for the weeks for which you have paid.
It is our pleasure to offer you payments to be applied to your tuition. Please see our class pages for more details about payments and fees.
We much prefer auto withdrawal from your bank for payments. If you are uncomfortable with this arrangement, you may choose to pay by check or cash, Venmo or PayPal. Fees are payable by the due date (the first of each month) unless prior arrangement has been made. If payments are not received within 30 days of the due date, an additional fee of 10% of payment owed will be applied. If payment is not received within 60 days of due date, you may be asked to withdraw from the class.
Tuition is provided on a per-term basis therefore there are no refunds or credits given for missed lessons. Two "make-up" classes are permitted on a space-available basis.
We promise to respect your privacy. We do not sell, rent, loan or transfer any personal information regarding our customers or their students to any third parties. Any information you provide about yourself or your students is held with the utmost care and security and will not be used in ways to which you have not consented.
Information gathered on our website is collected and used by us and Simply Signup. We will not collect any personal information about adults or students except when specifically and knowingly provided by them. If we collect any personally identifiable information about students, we will first obtain their parents' consent. Examples of personally identifiable information include full name and birth date.
**Please understand that we do take many pictures during class and that your child's image may appear on social networking sites like Facebook and Instagram. We do not "tag" the children with names unless we have permission to do so, to keep your privacy. By initialing the "I agree" portion of the registration page, you are agreeing to have your child's picture shown on social media.
USE OF INFORMATION:
Information collected by us is used internally by our authorized individuals for three main purposes. First, we may collect information for improving our site by seeing which areas, features, and products are most popular. Second, we may collect information in order to personalize the site for our customers. Third, we may collect personal information from visitors who request additional information about our studio, a Free Preview Class Coupon, or who choose to register for classes online.
We hope that you will want to provide information about yourself, because it will make your experience here more valuable to you. If you are comfortable sharing some basic information, you will receive enhanced services that are impossible to offer to anonymous users. Examples of such services may include email notices of special and discounted items, e-newsletters, and special mailings related to The Music Garden, including free developmental activities and special offers.
On occasion, we may also share non-personal, summary information regarding our customers with unrelated third parties (for example, we may publicly disclose the aggregate number of registered users of our web site). However, we will not share any personal information about any particular customer.
Registering for class online is a completely safe experience!
We use SSL (Secure Sockets Layer)—the highest standard in online encryption technology—to ensure that your personal and credit card information remains secure. SSL encryption allows you to register with confidence, knowing that only you and The Music Garden have the ability to access your information.
